St. Joseph English School has come a long way from a humble and modest beginning. It has been in successful existence for the last four years and now it looks back at its fond memories. St. Joseph English School was started with the blessings of our former general Rev. Mother Antony Xavier of CIC on 4th June 2014 with a small strength of 52 students. Since then, the school has grown by leaps and bounds. We are a community emphasizing high expectations, both academically. Though we started on a small scale, our numbers are increasing daily due to the commitment of our sisters and the dedication of our teachers. Now, the school is reaching the High School level, and our first set of students is preparing to appear for the SSLC exams.

St. Joseph English School was established in Kothanur, Bengaluru with the vision of rendering valuable services to all sections of humanity. Our school is a co-educational institution, and over the years, we have made significant progress toward becoming one of the outstanding schools in Bengaluru. Our core values include exemplary discipline, strong leadership development, and extracurricular activities.

We are striving forward to provide a rich, stimulating, and eco-friendly environment where children feel happy, safe, secure, and confident. In the near future, our goal is to reach out to 1,000 students.

Our prestigious institution is led by the Principal, Sister Arockia Vinotha, along with a strong core team of highly competent and experienced educators. Together, they combine their expertise to ensure that every student receives high-quality academic mentoring, focused guidance, and well-rounded development.

An eminent and committed educationist, Sister Arockia Vinotha has more than a decade of experience in the field of education and has served in various leadership roles at reputed colleges in India and Zambia. She began her career at St. Justin’s College of Education, Madurai, where she worked as an Instructor for two years and later as an Associate Professor for three years, forming and mentoring many dedicated teachers through her service.

In her earlier assignments, she served as Assistant Administrator, Senior Lecturer, and Chaplain at Kasiya Business and Secretarial College, Zambia, for three years. Her involvement with the institution from its early stages played a key role in its growth into an established center of learning. She led several innovative academic and administrative initiatives, including the development of a Computer Science curriculum. She also served as Head of the Department of Computer Science Education at Kasiya College of Education, where she taught Computer Science, Business Studies, Human Resource Management, and Secretarial courses leading to Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs affiliated with the University of London.

She has participated in several national and international workshops on curriculum development, validation, and verification. Through her contributions, she has brought distinction to the institutions she has served and has helped shape many Computer Science teachers and professional secretaries for the nation.

Her academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Madurai, a Bachelor’s degree in Science, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Master’s degree in Philosophy. She is currently pursuing her doctoral program.

Since then, it has expanded rapidly through the committed service of the Sisters and the dedicated efforts of our teachers.

We are a learning community that upholds high expectations in academic performance and student conduct. Though we began on a small scale, student enrollment has continued to increase each year. The school has now reached the High School level under the State Board, and our first four SSLC batches achieved 100% results in the Board Examinations. We focus not only on academic excellence but also on the holistic development of students, with special emphasis on discipline and character formation.

In 2022, we began our journey under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). While the CBSE curriculum is rigorous, we make every effort to equip and support our students to achieve 100% excellent results. In alignment with CBSE guidelines, we actively promote co-curricular and extracurricular engagement alongside academics. We are grateful for our supportive parent community and positive social environment, which help us uphold our ethos and values.
